To begin with, Dave would rather discuss the specific goals and objectives of the event, rather than favorite topics. Choosing a popular topic too quickly often results in a disappointing presentation, simply because the desired outcome wasn't achieved even though the "topic" was covered.

One of Dave’s fortes is his unique ability as a speaker to play the role of a chef—selecting specific ingredients’, spices, etc.—then making a meal that not only tastes great but satisfies what the audience is really hungry for.

Dave is happy to meet and spend time with those coordinating the event to learn as much as possible about who will be in the audience, and the goals and objectives for the event.

Once he understands the objective, Dave begins selecting the “just-right” personal experiences, quotes, anecdotes, stories, etc. … he then prepares the presentation, personalizing it to the event.
